This CD project benefits âRiverâs Promiseâ, a non-profit entity focused on helping orphans in Africa. âRiverâs Promiseâ was started by Jimmy & Carrie Lakey in tribute to their adopted son from Rwanda, River Matison Moise Lakey, who arrived home to the USA in September 2008.

Jimmy & Carrie Lakey promised River that they would help fund the education of the many orphans that remained in Rwanda and they started âRiverâs Promiseâ to facilitate this giving. While funding the education of orphans is the main priority, âRiverâs Promiseâ is also involved in meeting other needs of orphans in Africa. The proceeds of this project are directed to these efforts.
