Details:
Random Acts began as a three piece group with drums, bass, and guitar around the end of 1996 in a basement in Euclid, Ohio (a city next to Cleveland). The band was: Dave Lastoria on guitar and vocals; Brian Mcleod on bass guitar; Jason Norris on drums. They began getting together once week jamming and writing songs until 1998 when they began opening up for bands in Cleveland clubs under the name of Blue Metal. The band had a set back when Jason decided to play daredevil by jumping over a camp fire and fell in and burned his hands and arms(laugh); it sounds funny now, but it probably wasn't then. After about a month or two when Jason was healed, the group began writing more material. In the spring of 2000 they changed their name to Random Acts and booked some time at a recording studio when they ran into another setback; they couldn't find Jason for about month. Well, that's another story, but they did finally find him and recorded their first CD that summer. The third setback was during that summer Jason joined the National Guard and was scheduled to leave in November for training and wouldn't be back until March. Random Acts took break until April of 2001 when they started playing again, but everybody knows what took place September 11, and as a result, Jason was transferred to the army for a year. In late 2002 when Jason was discharged from the army, Random Acts added a fourth member to the group, Joe Radosevic on guitar. Random Acts played at the Cleveland Agora for the Cleveland Music Festival in February 2003. They are currently recording material for their next CD.
