"The Rare Form Band" has been together since 1999 when the drummer decided to form a group to record original compositions. The result was a successful venture and an accomplishment by all the members of the group who put forth a great effort to make these songs come alive.
"Room For Change" marks the debut of the group's arrival. This Contemporary Jazz/Fusion CD puts forth the sounds of Latin Jazz, Rock, R&B and Funk styles. "Jason's Groove" was the first song written by the drummer back in 1988-89. Each song has a story behind it, which makes this CD an emotional expression of the artist.
"Gift From Above", a little Latin/Jazz flavor, is dedicated to Jesus Christ, who is responsible for providing many great opportunities for the group and their talent. And from whome all gifts come from.
"Primal Passion" was inspired by the wonderful Afro-Cuban rhythms. And from the works of Jean Luc-Ponty.
Many of the songs are inspired by other artists, or personal events. With this, we hope it inspires you.
