No sophmore jinx here, this Philly native returns with more Neo-Soul/Gospel from his debut "Narrow Gate" (also on CDBaby). Ray says, "this is actually like a part II to Narrow Gate, because both albums were produced around the same time with the same 70's vibe.

Ray is already at work on "Soul of a Man II" a soulful smoothjazz/gospel project mainly featuring piano over top of some phenominal tracks!"

This album not only expresses the Soul music vibe, but goes into a musical mode of the Soul of some men and how the road in life takes many patterns and arrangements just as music does. Ray currently is a drummer at his church and plays additional keys (as noted in the Narrow Gate bio).

"Soul of a Man", takes right off from his last CD "Narrow Gate" with a soulful pace of music while maintaining the groove. Each track lays heavy on the rhodes adding piano and organ fills as well. The drum programming and arrangements in each sequence grabs the listener quickly with many energetic intro's, changes, fills and vamps.

"Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? "For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels."
