Noreen Inglesi, who received her Bachelor of Fine Arts and Masterâs Degree in Music Education and Composition at the University of Rhode Island where she was awarded a Graduate Assistantship, is a public school music teacher and Artist in Residence for Notable Works Publication and Distribution Company. As a composer, she has received numerous commissions and has been awarded project grants from the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts.

Mackenzie Melemed is a child musical prodigy who holds numerous musical honors and awards, including his having portrayed the young Mozart on a Discovery Channel Documentary and his performance on a WGBH television show performed live at Carnegie Hall.

Eliane Aberdam was born in Nancy, France. As a child, she studied piano and theory at the Conservatoire Nationale de Region in Grenoble, and continued her musical education to receive a Ph.D. in Composition at University of California at Berkeley. She has received considerable acclaim for her work as a composer, and she has taught composition and theory at the University of Rhode Island since 2001.

A local singer-songwriter, Gregâs songs can be heard on the award-winning childrenâs PBS TV show âLiâl Rhody.â He has completed five musicals for children and two full-length musical theater scores. The producer of four albums of original childrenâs music, Greg has been teaching music in public schools for twenty years.

The Raging Grannies began in Canada in 1986 as part of a group which employed street theater to voice political protest. Since then, many groups, or âgaggles,â as they are humorously called, have sprung up worldwide. The RI group is comprised of women who have performed years of local community work in the areas of homelessness, violence against women, reproductive freedom, and poverty.

Mary Ann is a lifelong Rhode Island resident who has performed for years, both as a solo artist and as a band leader, with her band âThe Rossonians.â Her music has been favorably reviewed in People and Performing Songwriter magazines, and her song âRainfallâ was used in an NBC documentary.

Remembering Jeffrey was meant to comfort Jeffrey DeFrinoâs family in their time of grieving. The piece remembers Jeffrey as a wonderful humanitarian, who cared for his community, and the loved ones around him. His family feels that he is their greatest teacher both in life and in death. He taught his family, friends and community how to live life with determination, courage and dignity when faced with an uncertain future.
