People have know control over when the supreme being decides to call you from the spirit to incarnate you into flesh to walk amongst the living. Some people are born ahead of their time and others are born in a time where, their diversity and dexterity illustrates flashes of an era that existed before them. An era when sincere heart felt verbal testimonies dominated the speakers and walkman headphones of every person in the Hip Hop community. An era that held back a gifted emcee to place him in this modern day madness to help restore the torch of true lyricism.

Reggie Webb began his expedition towards the music industry in 1997 as apart of a four-man group named "Broken Souls". This group rapidly gained recognition in Baltimore's underground scene. Although the group was unable remain a unit the exposure opened up an opportunity for Reggie Webb to sign with a local record label. The label "A Roughtime Music" put out several compilations that landed in various stores between Baltimore and D.C., and Webb was heavily featured on numerous songs. Due to unethical business practices by the labels CEO, Webb's relationship with the record label ended in 1999.

After this experience he then migrated to Virginia where he became affiliated with another label "Third Eye Entertainment". The label acquired interest in Webb from the buzz he created from his local exposure in Baltimore and D.C. Pete Twist, (the labels CEO and top producer) introduced Webb to another market of Hip Hop. Recording close to 40 songs in which all were produced by up and coming Baltimore beat maker Dynamite. Together they dropped an underground new millennium version of Eric B and Rakim, Gangstarr, Show Biz and AG and so fourth. Album titled, "The Genesis" seventeen diverse tracks that left all listeners feeling something about every song. With Pete Twist promoting tactics in Norfolk, Hampton, and Dale City, along with the backing they already had in Baltimore. This CD moved close to 4000 units and left no consumer disappointed.

Opening up more doors for Webb, he traveled to Long Beach California to enter the unsigned hype battle. Finishing in 10th place only motivated him to follow the competition to Oakland in which he finished in 6th place. In his brief stay in California he performed at a few clubs promoting the CD and moved more units. Also while on the West Coast he was approached about entering a competition for Def Poetry Jam. Finishing as one of the finalists introduced another division of his skill to his fans. Currently, Reggie Webb is finishing up his first solo release with another production company (Sound Room Recordings).
