Bio - Stevie Renner and the Renegades

When you think of "Blues", what comes to most folks minds is the "Old School" style of blues, BB King, Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson and the old time blues legends.

Let me introduce Stevie Renner and the Renegades, Stevies's brand of blues is new, hot, progressive and light years ahead of anything you've even thought about or listened to.

Originally from San Diego, California - Stevie started playing with the first "Stevie Renner Group" in 1969 at parties around the beach. In 1976, Stevie hit the road playing nightclubs all across the United States. He's played with such notable groups as REO Speedwagon and the Commodores.

In the early 80's Stevie was a local Minneapolis guitar legend. He headlined his own band called The Steve Renner Group.

Now in 2004 Stevie has come out of retirement with a new group "The Renegades", with a whole new "Hot Rockin" Blues Sound".

Stevie says, "Blues music is changing, attracting A YOUNGER, HIPPER AUDIENCE. Today's young people don't want to hear old worn out blues covers that are 40-50 years old, they want a new hot blues sound that is danceable, upbeat and sharp. In some way shape of form all music descends from the blues. Blues music is an art form, a national treasure and should be treated as such".
