Rob Mazurkiewicz
BASS/VOCALS
Rob started off his musical career playing bass under some unusual circumstances when he was asked to play in his school's talent show without ever playing a note on a stringed instrument. Playing along to Beatles albums and early idol, Sting, initially influenced his playing. Playing music with Mike and Alan in Rev has really challenged the innate based playing that he developed as a self taught musician." Some people play out of the box, but I don't believe these guys ever saw a box when it comes to music." Rob enjoys wide variety music and loves live performance.
Al Kryszak
GUITAR -strat/baritone-/VOCALS
A composer/guitarist with 25 years of concert, silent film and theatre work, featured at Carnegie Recital Hall, The World Financial Center, Symphony Space, The Los Angeles Directors Guild, The Kitchen, Arts at St. Ann's, Mabou Mines, The Atlantic Center for the Arts and Turner Classic Movies, among other venues. Much of his work brings new concert music and film together, bringing new concert music to more diverse audiences. The Lincoln Center Film Society presented the East Coast premiere of his film score for DR. JEKYLL & MR. HYDE (piano and orchestra) last November, and KINO films has released a collection of nine film scores entitled Christmas Past. (Yes, he is one of the only alt songwriters who has also written experimental Christmas Music) His visual art has been featured on CD cover art, in solo exhibitions and in various trade shows throughout the country. Rob and Mike provide the perfect landscape for weird words and wired tunes to thrive in.
Michael Nicolosi
DRUMS
Michael Nicolosi plays the drums. He's been at it for just under 40 years. Most of his inspirations are in the jazz and Christian rock field. He was forced to play country music in his early teens. He has never really gotten over that. His musical life changed when he answered an ad that Rob had posted seeking a drummer. Alan arrived on the scene shortly thereafter and their first sessions together cemented a bond that continues to this day. Michael found himself in drummer nirvana. He was asked to bridge the Pop-feel that Rob brought to the table and the very left-of-center compositions seeping from the twisted mind of Alan. It has been the single most satisfying musical endeavor of his life.
