Zed Never (est. 2004) is comprised of veteran musicians Dennis Marmon (The Blisters, The Parasites), Dave Lancet (Hearse, Two And A Half Minute Shower, Orbitrons), and Laz (Phrogger). Our sound has been pegged as "The Velvet Underground meets Black Sabbath". We've also drawn comparisons to Jesus Lizard, early Sonic Youth, and a laundry list of 70s and 80s New York City punk bands.
There is an experimental edge to our music which derives from layers of sound samples underneath growling dissonant guitar chords, driving drum beats, and spacey poetic lyrics. Our live shows are notoriously adrenalized and usually leave audience members with their mouths gaping while savoring the intensity of the experience.
