Details:
Reality Music Entertainment was founded on October 29, 2002 in Detroit, MI by brothers Roosevelt Currie aka "2 Face" of Detroit and Joseph P. Currie aka "Pikasso" of Anaheim, CA.

Pikasso had been working on several different demos since mid 1996. In 2001 he decided to send his best work to his brother, 2 Face, in Detroit. Upon hearing his demo, 2 Face, who is known for his underground street rawness, fell in love with Pikasso's bicoastal metaphoric style. In the spring of 2002 they came up with the idea, "Who would be better to promote our music than us?" They knew that their unique styles put together, good promotion, and the right marketing aspects,a music company could be established. With that in mind, Pikasso and 2 Face pulled together their collective resources and started their company, Reality Music Entertainment.

In the fall of 2002, 2 Face went from Detroit to Anaheim to start writing lyrics for their first album. It is now 2003 and they are proud to be releasing their first album, Reality Music, Inc. The CD contains Pikasso, 2 Face and several other independent rap artists and producers from the Midwest to the West Coast. This self-titled album, which contains 12 songs, is based on the reality of the urban street life mixed with hip hop and raw beats.

A representative from Taxi, a well-known independent A & R agency, critiqued the track Detroit Detroit and stated that the lyrics, "the hood is hot, the hell with being a suspect kid, so I hopped the fence and ran into an abandoned crib" was very well written and full of great imagery and phrasing telling what life is like living in Detroit.

Taxi's overall comments stated that the track Detroit Detroit was very cool. It had raw urban sound, but was also full of hooks to give it a competitive appeal. They really liked the sound of two MCs on the track because it offered a change of perspective and delivery that keeps the track sounding fresh. Taxi also proclaimed that the lyrics were packed with killer imagery and smart, tight phrases with a strong chorus and a memorable hook.

Reality Music Entertainment is devoted to developing new talent of hip hop, rap and R & B artists. This company is centered around all the aspects of its clients, including management, concerts, and special projects that may further promote their music careers.

Reality Music Entertainment has toured from Michigan all the way to the West Coast doing shows in Detroit, Mid-Michigan, Hollywood, Anaheim and Seattle. The company is still small, but is hoping to be one of the most productive independent record companies in the music industry this millenium.
