Wild Bill and the Arkanauts are a group of Minnesota musicians with extremely varied backgrounds. This CD was produced at Arketis Records (www.arketis.com) by Bill Gamble and Benny Weinbeck (www.weinbeck.com).

Bill Gamble put this project together after playing for several months with Tony Glover and Galen Michaelson. Bill moved back to the States last year from several years in Europe, where he worked as Chief Information at a major German plastics manufacturer (Plastics, Benjamin...!).

Bill's education is on the classical side, with a focus on Early Music and composition; he has played with several ensembles and in solo capacities, and loves the harpsichord. He also composes rather serious things,
and is a fiction writer. He will publish a novel in Germany next spring.
He has always loved the American uniqueness of jazz and folk, and was very fortunate to be able to play with such excellent musicians as Tony, Galen, Gordon Johnson, Rick Noland and Jim Price.

Benny Weinbeck was able to bring a pure acoustic vibe to this recording, which was made live. Really Benny, great job.
