While many talented new singers wait to be discovered by recording companies, Titus Dillard (alias Rocwell) and Yushwa Muhammad (alias Divine MC) have done just the opposite. At the ages of 24 and 25 they have already developed a company that assists up and coming artists to receive exposure and reach the next level by providing them with affordable production. Renaissance, as the company is called, has also helped in the promotion and distribution of their own music since its conception in 2001. There's no doubt that Rocwell and Divine MC will be a presence known by all in the music industry in the near future.
Inspired by various MC's such as Busta Rhymes and Redman, Rocwell has rhymed since the young age of 12. Since then he's entered several different local talent shows and rap competitions, displaying his raw talent to large and eager crowds. "His unique style is hard hitting while still retaining its commercial marketability." Rocwell and Divine MC's latest released album, "The Arrival," will be a definite favorite of rap-lovers.
Yushwa Muhammad's story is much like Rocwell's. He, too, began to rap at the age of 12 and entered contests all around Florida and New York. Originally from Brooklyn, he now resides in Daytona Beach. He adopted the alias Divine MC some time ago and has been performing under this stage name.
Be sure to pick up their debut album, "The Arrival" now available through mail orders for $12. This album features 14 tracks, with guest appearances from Kojo, Caribbean, Alyssa, and Jeremy Graves. No matter what your taste in music is, this pair is sure to get attention from those who don't consider themselves to be the biggest rap fans.
