Roosevelt "Rosey" Jones
Rosey is the former lead singer of the recording group "The Superiors". Which he formed in the year of 1968. This was just the beginning of his long and demanding venture into the music industry.
Rosey as a little child began his artistic talent as a singer in school programs under the guidance of Ms Fanny Cowl, the music teacher in his grade school.
In 1968, Rosey was invited by "Smokey" Bill Robinson, one of the founders of Motown Records, to come and audition for that label. Which at that time had "The Temptations, The Supremes, Marvin Gay, Steve Wonder" and many other great stars of the 1960's.
While Rosey was studying his craft, He learned to write and produce for other artists in the Music Industry. Rosey has written hits for such Artists as "The Forevers, Billy Harner, The Contential Four, and many others." During his venture, he was the Executive Vice President, Executive Producer and writer for Omega Sounds Records. While he was with Omega, Rosey coordinated many hit records, among them "BE THANKFUL FOR WHAT YOU GOT" sung by William Divine for Roxbury Records. Frank Sinatra's son-in-law, West Farrell, owned Roxbury Records. Which owned the TV show "THE PARTRIDGE FAMILY" which stared David Cassidy, who recently made a sensational comeback after 20 years in the wilderness.
Rosey studied marketing and production in the motion picture industry, under Bruce Kauffman of L & M Motion Picture Production Company. Rosey has recently finished a Motion Picture project by writing two scripts entitled "SUPERSTAR" and "MUSIC MAN".
Rosey is the CEO of his own Company Wickett Productions, Inc. and is now currently working on his own album as well as producing other artists.
