I present to you, Osiris Records Recording Artist & Owner: Royce. Artist, producer, singer, and songwriter.
Born on July 10th in Waukegan, Illinois, a northern suburb of Chicago. Royce is the youngest of seven children. He grew up in a house full of musical talent. His older siblings had a strong impact on him and he began to sing and play the piano at the early age of five years old. Royce entered every talent show there was available. It wasn't until his freshman year in high school that he expanded on his knowledge of music and began producing. All of this exposure left quite an impression on the school staff. They asked him to perform at his graduation ceremony. Much to his mother's surprise, she walked in to the gymnasium to find her son sitting at the piano, playing for the entire school.
After high school, Royce attended college, continued working on his music, and began producing for local artists. Although this kept him very busy, he knew it wasn't enough to satisfy his love for music. Royce wanted to pursue a career in the music business. He moved to Georgia to live out his dream of becoming a successful artist in the city of Atlanta. Living with relatives at first, he started all over again and built a fully equipped music studio. Working mostly on his own music, he continues to produce for some local artists as well.
Music has always been a part of Royce's lifestyle. He enjoys listening to many different styles of music, from rap to R&B and from rock to hip hop. He was influenced mostly by the mid to late 80's R&B sound of groups such as; Cameo, The Gap Band, and The Isley Brothers. Royce adopted this style and fused with it his own originality, creating a funky groove for the new millennium.
Royce (meaning): The Son of King and Royalty. A name to live up to. His strong, yet gentle, vocals stand tall for all to hear.
