Details:
ROYCE is David Carter and Adam Record.

ROYCE began playing together in the summer of 1999. Dave and Adam were playing together in a Utah based Folk-Rock group, Dave played drums and Adam played Guitar. After practices Dave and Adam would stay behind and jam together and eventually started writing songs. Soon after that the band broke up and ROYCE began.

They started playing local venues and recorded their first album together in 2000 entitled "I'll Stick With Orange". ROYCE played shows all over Northern Utah and Idaho to promote the album and as their setlist grew so did their audience.

In the summer of 2000 they ventured off to Europe to play the streets of Germany, Italy, France and Spain, it was there that they began writing new material for their second album entitled "Headaches" released in the winter of 2001.

ROYCE played coffee shops, small venues and college campuses and learned to love performing. They incorporate many life experiences and stories into each of their songs and gladly share these stories at their shows, which makes for an entertaining performance. Every song has a story.

After a short break ROYCE gathered together material for their newest release "The Great Gray" , a compilation of original songs ROYCE has written over the years. ROYCE's natural sound has caught the ears of many devout listeners and continues to spread as they grow as musicians.

ROYCE's shows are stripped down, simple and intimate. "Distinctive and certainly a crowd pleaser.." said Matt Wright of The Utah Statesmen. ROYCE continues to perform and record folk music. Guitars, mandolin, banjo, harmonica, piano, accordian, djembe drums and spoons combined with catchy lyrics can be heard at any ROYCE performance.
