When I was 6 years old, I went on a class trip to Squibb, Inc. I will never forget the large room filled with rows of devices like guillotines, with rabbit heads sticking out. Shackled like this, their eyes were doomed to be tested with shampoos and other potions which cause them excruciating pain and blindness.

Over the years this vision haunted me and I became a proponent in the animal rights movement.

Somehow, my love of song writing meshed with my horror of animal abuse and this CD was created. The first 11 songs are intense, while the last 4 are lighter because they take place after all animal abuse had ended.

I enlisted producer Tom Kochan to arrange and record the animal rights songs I had written. Utilizing the talents of seven singers and five instrumentalists, we crafted a CD that captures my feelings about animals, the way they are abused in our world today, and the possibilities for their emancipation in the future.
