Texas singer/songwriter with swampy guitars and roadhouse rhymes.
11 MP3 Songs
BLUES: Texas Style, COUNTRY: Country Rock
Details:
Texas singer/ songwriter Ron Rogers is "gettin' sideways" with his CD, "LA LA Land." The title track, "LA LA Land," was chosen by infamous writer-producer Joe Eszterhas for the main titles opening song of his motion picture, "Burn, Hollywood, Burn."
Drawing on his deep Texas roots, Ron blends blues, R & B, swamp and rock 'n roll into his own brand of roadhouse story telling.
Ron has had a house gig at Viva Cantina in Los Angeles, CA for the past two years.
In a recent review The LA Times gave Ron's CD an "A". "Rogers is a gifted songwriter who writes these slightly bluesy, slightly twangy down home tunes. "Give 'Em Guns" won't be playing in Charlton Heston's Walkman, but the tiltle tune is getting airplay. The musicians are first rate and this is a solid effort by one of our local players."
