The Seven Seas CD is closely knit collection of acoustic rock songs with varied textures and styles. From the first shot across the bow in 'Ship of Fools', to the melodic title shot 'Seven Seas' and its followup power hitting 'What I Find', the influences branch out in the folk-jazz lines of 'Virginia' and the blues-jazz feel of 'Black Hearted Woman'. The rhythmic dynamics of 'Amsterdam', 'Winter in Kiev', 'To a New Day', and 'Jasmine' each with their own stylistic directions contrast with the undertones of folk and almost country rock feel of 'Castaway' and 'Coming Home'. Add in the acoustical darkness of 'So You Say' and it's apparent why the project's music difficult to classify. The sound however is unique in and of it's own accord. From the beginnings of the project, the desire was to amalgamate the influences of a lifetime and in a sense represent each of them, be it in a progression, line, melody or phrase.
