Details:
TWO GOOD REASONS RECORDS is pleased to announce the release of "FORTUNE TELLER" (TGR-2), a 4 song acoustic introduction to the world of Robert Richmond. Richmond, a songwriting veteran who has amassed a publishing catalogue of over 200 self-penned tunes, spent two years assembling, recording and re-recording versions of these songs for inclusion on this release. The CD, which leads off with the upbeat "Another Bad Deal", is the label debut by Richmond. Also included are "Angel In Chains" and "God Only Knows", two Richmond mainstays that of themselves have attracted much attention and interest as possible covers by other artists.

"Fortune Teller", the final cut, is the chilling tale of a Cherokee elder who looks at the present day Indian and relates his interpretation of what he foresees if change is not imminent. Richmond comes to this narrative by way of his ancestry. His Cherokee/ Choctaw/ mixed European bloodlines are traceable back to the 1600's and include a Revolutionary war hero, 21 confederate forefathers, a member of Jesse James gang, a Choctaw Chief and a two Cherokee "Indian Wars" heroes. While Richmond prefers not to be pigeonholed as solely a Native artist, his ancestry provides a unique look at the world through the eyes and words of a singer-songwriter with a perspective seldom seen outside the American Indian world.

Robert Richmond is a survivor. A veteran songwriter who has overcome unfathomable odds, Richmond has survived the death of his wife in 1995, a twenty-five year drug addiction and most recently, has been battling the crippling effects of Parkinson's disease. Richmond's songs reflect these devastating journeys and the scars that remain as a result of such a turbulent existence.

The CD itself is intended as an acoustic introduction to the songs on the forthcoming full-length album, 'Sour Milk Moon", scheduled for release in June of 2004. Richmond will tour extensively in support of the release with a full-fledged marketing campaign commencing to coincide with the release of the disc.
