Details:
Ray and Mellody have been working together for a long, long, long, time. Ray is now sixty-threee years old. Mels' voice is vintage and her age is classified.
The music is computer generated. Each instrument track is
individually developed and then the voice tracks, the guitar tracks, and the harmonica tracks are dubbed in via .wav files. The tracks are then edited and mixed down to the finished product.

Mel started performing at the age of five with The Singing Crusaders. A gospel group founded by her father, L.J. Reed. All of the Reed kids were a part of the show. Mel has performed in many places across the country. Her family does a Christmas show every year. It has taken place in Phoenix, Telluride and Kankakee, Illinois, the
families home town. Mel loves to sing. She has performed at a wide variety of places and functions in her career. She brings the house down where ever she goes. Her energy is endless and her love of entertaining infectious. Her range of styles covers all genres and she does all of them well. Mel is a talented, happy, loving, human being who gives all she's got every time she takes the stage.

Brother Ray, traveled a crooked road to get to his present place. He started out in a country-rock and roll band in Oklahoma. The migration trail to Illinois wound through about twenty-five states before he ended up in Kankakee. Ray has performed in some places he'd like to forget and some he'll always cherish as great experiences.
Ray Charles is Rays' idol. He came to the blues via WLAC in
Gallatin, Tennessee. D.J. "Hoss" Allen and Randys' record parade.
The music had him hooked after the first thirty seconds. He says it wasn't easy for a fifteen year old blues playin' white boy in the fifties to find an audience. But perservance is a part of doing something you love.

Mel and Ray are the sum total of the voices and the band. A musical marriage of talent and technology.
Although they are as yet unpublished, the work goes on.
The tracks on this CD cover a wide range of musical styles. Blues, ballads, MOR, country rock, and pop. If you like music, you'll find something you like on this CD.
Mel and Ray are currently appearing wherever this CD travels. At the present time that is seven countries and about thirty states. Hopefully the future will bring it to a radio station, club, or near you.
Their wish is that you will find something in their words and music that is meaningful to you. They ask that you, being the musical disciples you are, spread the word far and wide.
Thanks for listening and "keep on keepin' on."
