N.J. Roots-rocker Chrisie Santoni has been writing good songs for a decade. Great songs, actually. It all started clicking in 2003. During that year, Santoni was awarded two honors for her song "Mona Lisa." First, she won the Grand Prize in the Unisong worldwide songwriting contest. Then later the same year, she placed 2nd in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest for the same song.
But Chrisie is so much more than a great songwriter...
In October 2004, Santoni was chosen as the lone U.S. representative at the worldwide music festival, Universetalent Prague. One of only twelve songwriters/performers selected, Santoni was chosen for her song "It's All Inside." Performing American music in the Czech Republic was a proud and moving moment for Santoni.
"When I left the stage, I was literally mobbed by a group of young Czech children waving pens and paper wanting me to sign. It was the most humbling moment of my life. I gave each one of them the biggest hug!"-Chrisie Santoni
Backed by a killer band that includes former Lizard Music drummer Craig Smith on percussion, Santoni is about to embark on an east coast tour supporting her first full-length CD "Lover Fighter."
