Singer-songwriters can be such a tiresome lot. So earnest, so intelligent, so subtle (yawn), so deep...That's why the world needs a Scarth. From the coffeehouses to the clubs, people want to have a little sugar with their medicine. Scarth is all those refined singer-songwriter things, but he ALSO is a performer. Pulling one gem after another from his grab-bag of material-from foot-stomping blues to quirky funk to pretty waltzes and rocking pop music- he keeps things popping from beginning to end.

And then there's the robot. What is that little machine that he bangs on while he's playing his guitar and singing? Sometimes it sits quietly.
