Country Music that comes straight from the soul.
11 MP3 Songs
COUNTRY: Modern Country, COUNTRY: Country Pop
Details:
Born and raised in Nebraska, Stacy Donahue began singing at a very early age. Beginning in elementary school, up to and through college, Stacy has been in several different choirs and musical productions which have enabled her touring opportunities both nationally and internationally.
Following Stacy's graduation from Nebraska Wesleyan University with a Bachelors Degree in Music in hand, Stacy spent a few years teaching elementary school music. As rewarding as teaching was for Stacy, she knew in her heart she had a more personal goal she needed to pursue.
In June of 2003, Stacy took a leap of faith by resigning her teaching position and moving to Chicago where its dynamic music scene would offer Stacy increased opportunities to make a name for herself in the music industry. While in Chicago, Stacy formed a collaboration with Tom Sparks, a Chicago-area songwriter and producer. With Tom's keen sense of the music business coupled with Stacy's ability to create clever lyrics and catchy melodies, together they wrote, recorded, and produced all original songs. Performing at several Chicago area venues, as well as with a local band, The Wellstones, Stacy enjoyed singing her original compositions, as well as cover songs from artists such as Patsy Cline and Faith Hill.
It was with a song Stacy wrote herself that she was selected as a finalist from the Chicago area to compete and perform in the Colgate Country Showdown at Country Thunder 2004 held in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin. At Country Thunder, Stacy outperformed all other individual performer acts, taking third place behind two band acts.
Making her move to Nashville, Stacy is now poised to realize her dream of making a name for herself in country music. Excited to share her passion for singing and songwriting by connecting with her audience through words from her heart, look for Stacy to become one of today's most promising and successful country music artists.
