"Angled Sun" is the work of Los Angeles based singer songwriter Joshua Alan . "Angled Sun" is the concept of the angled sun that falls upon us during the winter months. Created in Joshua's very own Paper moon studio in a 1940s suburban neighborhood minutes outside LA ,during the winter of 2003. This recording has a warm, calming, dreamy quality that exemplifies this season. Shadow and Dust has been compared to bands as the charm of Belle and Sebastian , quiet of Iron and Wine, the relaxation of Mazzy Star and dreams of Slowdive. Shadow and Dust formed as a solo project by Singer/Songwriter Joshua Alan in late 2002. After the other solo project "Slave of the Moon" was lost because of hard drive meltdown. Blending the sounds of folk , country , electronic and ambient music . Joshua has been joined on stage by North Carolina's folk musician Twitch Tucker from "Twitch Tucker and the mad string band" and Los Angeles based ambient minimal synth player Jon Albeanu.
