The latest installation in Quinn W. Shagark's line of home-recorded albums, Propane Summer has a blue cover with a picture of a moon on it.

Quinn departs a little from the bright, twisted pop of "Life in a Bucket," here for a more reserved, cohesive, and ultimately spookier sound. There is more jangle and less tape hiss and the neighbors don't seem to be making as much noise.

More accurately depicting the aftermath of a summer than the summer itself, Quinn's latest appears to document the final seconds of obliviousness before you realize there's a train aimed directly at your house. It does so in a pretty catchy way, though, and sometimes it's funny. Dear Naomi could be the funniest stalker love song on this album. Underwater Crime is hands down the funniest song about Underwater Crime.
