A songwriter since she was 8 years old, Shannon has always had a passion for marrying her music with a worthy cause. She returned from a Summer 2003 trip to Costa Rica determined to find a way to raise support for Gail Nystrom's Costa Rican Humanitarian Foundation, which she decided to do in the way she knew best - through music. Assembling a talented team of sponsors and musicians, Shannon created Dream of a Forgotten People to encourage others to lend their support to Ms. Nystrom's life-saving work. Proceeds from sales of Dream go to support the Foundation's work and are tax-deductible.
