THE SHIVERS:

A New York City based act encompassing music, mime, clowning and drama. This act has existed as a three-piece band, a duo and a one-man show. Live, THE SHIVERS have played a variety of venues ranging from bars and clubs to community centers and camps. This act has also performed in comedy clubs, art galleries and in other public spaces. THE SHIVERS have a diverse audience and have shared bills and collaborated with underground hip-hop acts, performance artists and rock bands. THE SHIVERS are also sometimes known as "CHARADES". Aside from performing and recording, THE SHIVERS have made several films which serve as stand alone pieces and sometimes accompany the live show. All of these mediums have been used to help promote THE SHIVERS vision. THE SHIVERS are avid activists and have organized many benefit concerts, started many programs and are active in the community. Member Keith Zarriello is the founder and US Spokesperson for the Antisexual/Childbirth movement which has been struggling for recognition over the past year and a half.This is a radical movement and THE SHIVERS have had run-ins with the NYPD, NYC Commission on Human Rights and the US Secret Service.This is all absolutely true and THE SHIVERS have proof!
