Sara was born and raised in scenic Rhode Island where she was found humming strange melodies in her crib before she learned to say, "I love chocolate". She started playing piano in the second grade but fell in love with the guitar when she started high school. She started writing her own music while studying Anthropology at college in Boston. Sara now resides in Portland, OR where she can be found performing at local venues.

Stamp Mileage is a collection of her original music recorded during the summer of 2000 with former band members Danielle Geihs, Sean McDermott, and Elio Deluca. Also appearing on the album is special guest Duncan McFarlane. Sara's songs deal with a variety of subjects from travelling and love to enjoying life and the ocean. These ideas are not only reflected in her lyrics but in her style of guitar playing and the harmonies that accompany her melody lines. These songs, while painfully honest and personal to Sara, have a universality that makes them easy to love and relate to.
