Details:
Shelley James has been a stand-out singer/songwriter on the Eugene/Springfield music scene for the past decade and is known throughout the Northwest for her velvety voice and riveting stage personality. Attracting media and industry attention in Portland and Eugene with her jazzerock trio Pyramid Breakfast in the early 90s, James continues to satisfy a faithful fan base releasing her second solo CD in 2002. She is currently in the midst of her 3rd project.

She is a part of west coast Independent label Houseboat Records - which she and her husband Cal Coleman own and operate. James has been an influential part of the Pacific Northwest music scened for over 13 years, performing in clubs and festivals all over, including Bumbershoot, Folklife, Art and the Vineyard. She has such a positive personality, that she was asked to be the music host for the grand opening of several music venues in Eugene including the MacDonald Theatre and the Wild Duck Music Hall.

James also puts a lot of her talent toward the community, teaching music at Twin Oaks elementary school, volunteering to guest DJ on her local community radio station KRVM, and hosting fundraising events including the American Red Cross, and Buckley Detox Center.

James has performed all over the west coast, and western Canada, and has grown a steady, loyal following for the past decade. Her upcoming CD is being recorded in Los Angeles, by Universal Music Group producer Chris Bolden, which will be released on her independent label.
