The Shuffle Kings are dedicated and devoted to the championing and performance of traditional, electric blues as a true form of American "pop" music. The Shuffle Kings see blues as individual songs and an overall attitude, not an excuse to show the world their technical prowess on their instruments. The purpose of the Shuffle Kings is to highlight the SONG, not the musician.
This breakout CD from the Shuffle Kings features six original tunes with solid grooves and catchy melodies together with four songs (one each) from blues giants Lowell Fulson, Junior Wells/Buddy Guy, Freddie King and Stevie Ray Vaughn. The band was fortunate to be able to work with blues and recording veterans that added an extra layer of quality to the recording.
The recording quality is excellent, the performances are heart-felt and the songs are danceable. Please take a listen. We hope you enjoy the CD as much as we enjoyed making it.
