DEAR LISTENER,

Music is such personal experience for everyone. I know that in my life music has helped me feel and express so many emotions. Please take some time and listen to my lastest album. In my bio I've put some personal history to enjoy while you listen. In my music taste I've judged a good album by the number of songs I like. I hope that with Sub Zero Ground you can find at least three songs you enjoy, and if you do may they touch enough to that you might remember someone or something important in your life. Thank You --Sean Hughes

SEAN HUGHES-APRIL 24, 1976

My earliest memories of music date back to the age of 5. I remember my sisters doing a lip sync to the early 60's song, My Boyfriends Back. As kids we would spend hours listening to my mothers 33's and 45's, during the hot California summers. As long as I can remember there has always been some form of music in my life.

FINDING MY PASSION IN LIFE-1994

It really wasn't till the age of 17 that took up an instrument. I needed an elective class for high school, and I just thought since I like music so much then I might like guitar. After three months in the class I was able to play and sing most simple songs by ear. For my guitar final I sang and played Simon and Garfunkel, Sound of Silence. I had far exceeded the class expectations, and at the same time found my true passion in life. I knew what gifts had been given me, and I knew what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.

IM A SONG WRITER AND SINGER

I wrote my first song shortly after that class was done. It wasn't a masterpiece, but it was start. I decided early on that I wanted to be a songwriter more than great guitar player. I remember that first feeling of creating something from nothing. It becomes addictive, and I constantly look for that feeling as song writer. I love it when the fans tell me that this song touch them so much that it made them cry. I believe musicians should pick a special skill and work hard at that skill till they're the best. I believe that respect for being great at one thing is better than being okay at everything.

SUB ZERO GROUND-THE SOLO ALBUM

I've been very lucky in my life to have played with great musicians. Each individual musician I've played with has given me advice, support, and confidence to get this far. In 2001 when I was playing with my band Radioctive I started to feel that my time and money would be better spent as a solo artist. It was difficult decision at the time, but it was a change I needed if I wanted to keep on growing. I quickly went into the studio to start on my first solo album. I decided to call it Sub Zero Ground.

NEVER STOP GROWING

As an artist you always want to improve, and with this album I do feel that I improved. I'm very happy with the production, and some of the songs, I feel, came across very well. Stained Glass Eye's is big amoung the fans, and for the rock and roll fans there is Losing Control and Carousel Ride. My personal favorite is Fall Behind. I like the driving beat, and it's alot of fun to sing. I'm looking forward to getting back in the studio in 2004. I have new ideas and better direction, so the next album will be even better.

THANK YOU TO ALL THE FANS FOR THEIR SUPPORT !!!!!
