Details:
SKINNERRAT is a virtual recording project created by Dr. Gary D. Telgenhoff a real-life forensic pathologist (medical examiner). The title song of his first album, SPEAK FOR YOU has been featured on the CBS hit TV drama CSI. All of the songs on the first album are about what he does and what he sees in the autopsy room, with a little politics and social commentary thrown in. Dr. Telgenhoff is first and foremost a rock musician heavily influenced by Classic Rock bands such as Blue Oyster Cult, Pink Floyd, Alan Parsons, Ozzy Ozbourne, Peter Gabriel and Don Henley.
He is primarily a lyricist and drummer, but performs all of the instrumentation and vocals on the first album, with some contributions from others. The next album is already underway and will feature classic rock guitar heavyweight DICK WAGNER formerly of Alice Cooper, and Lou Reed and writer, guitarist, vocalist, producer for Meatloaf, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Peter Gabriel, Kiss, Aerosmith, Burton Cummings, and Air Supply to name only some.
WAGNER recently commented on Telgenhoff's first album by saying " . . . . Rob Zombie gets an Autopsy!" He also praised the lyrics as "heavy" and "dark;" a real compliment coming from one who wrote most of Alice Cooper's hits!! In addition, Stephan Williams formerly of GREAT WHITE has agreed to put parts on the next album. Dr. Telgenhoff performs between 350 and 400 autopsies a year and sees a total of 1000 bodies. In a town like Las Vegas his job security is a given. He seeks refuge and release in his digital studio. The result can be heard on this first album. He has already written the next 4 CDs. THIS AIN'T NO DANCE MUSIC!!! INTELLECT, SOCIAL CONSCIENCE AND IMAGINATION ARE REQUIRED.
