Details:
The Pleasure Elite bumped and ground their way across the US and Europe for over a decade and, except for maybe a need for rain slickers, they really didn't have much in common with other Seattle bands.

TPE employed a vast array of influences and stylistic variations from metal and punk to industrial, from hip-hop, to country. Before any characters with the initials M.M. or Limp Bizkit hit the collective entertainment consciousness, TPE incorporated more than a handful of seedy elements into their metalized-industrial musical base. To this day The Pleasure Elite, a collective of S&M junkies, offer listeners an adult version of shock rock with a healthy dose of political skepticism.

The band features an abundance of rhythmic riffing, fairly straightforward song pacing and the slightly disturbed vocals of The Rev. V Blast. The lyrics often take on twisted subjects (particularly the bouncy, hoppy "Twist on This" -- a little ditty about a social predator freshly released from a mental institution). The songs also incorporate a touch of a social conscience (such as "Media Feed" and "In the Belly").

TPE released 3 Full length CD's in the 1990s: "Bad Juju" (2 versions plus a digital re-release), "Brutal Tutu" (recorded Live at RKCNDY), "Hog Tied" and "Pacifier" EP. The band also appeared on numerous compilations and released two 7" singles.

2008 marks the return of this seminal Seattle band to the scene with their long-awaited reunion LP, "Arise Awake Destroy."
