Details:
DLV, from San Jose, Ca, the Bay. Born and raised in SJ, SSSJ to be exact, started writing rhymes at 16, didn't record anything til' I was 17, on cassette tapes, whenever I had something good I would write it down, then spit it, or I would spit another rapper's verse for practice. As time went on, I taught myself how to rap (how to structure a verse, counting bars, creating hooks, etc...). I recorded over well known beats(The Hip Hop Historian), til' I had the means to create my own beats. A CTK-700 keyboard, I had got a while ago. I produced this whole album with it. The concept for Born on 1/87, the title rather, is my actual birth, it's also my birth/entrance into the rap game really, my first real release, I guess u can call it an ep, it definately qualifies, or a short album. Whatever the case, it's certainly only the beginning, I ain't going nowhere, so u can get used to me. This is some real hip hop, gotta lil' something for everybody. So listen, and enjoy it.
