This CD is an instrumental effort of traditional favorites and cool original blues from the founder of âThe Mountain Park Old Time Bandâ, Johnny Gentry. Johnny plays guitar, fiddle, dobro, banjo, and bass on many of the tracks. Johnnyâs wife Nancy and son Robbie assisted with the bass, banjo, and guitar.

This CD was a year long in the recording and production and is a tasteful blend from one of North Carolinaâs best Old-Time musicians. From the bluesy soul of the original âBig Leg Bluesâ to the unique instrumental version of George Gershwinâs âSummertimeâ to the sultry singing of the dobro in âBanks of the New Riverâ, this CD will give appreciative listeners many hours of enjoyment.
