MELA is Megan Carpenter age 16, and Laura Carpenter age 14.
These two, young Singer/Songwriters come from a family of 10 siblings! In case you're wondering, they have one mom and one dad. Their home by the woods and just a hop, skip, and a jump from the river, is a great setting to inspire their music.

Megan and Laura are ready to write a song at the drop of a hat. Their, dad, producer of this recording project, could hardly keep up with the songs they were cranking out. There were at least 5 or 6 numbers that didn't make it into the final cut. I suppose they'll just be added on to their next project. Their creative use of the pop, folk, and rock styles certainly keep things lively and interesting. They write songs well beyond their years, but not so much beyond their experiences, nor beyond the painful experiences of their friends and family.
