Melanie grew up in Virginia and went to college in Nashville, Tennessee to study Music Business. She currently resides in Los Angeles and works in the television industry as an Assistant Music Supervisor. She also works as a lead vocalist (studio and live), drummer and background singer.

Her musical style is roots rock in the vein of Lucinda Williams and Sheryl Crow. Her influences are Patty Griffin, Tom Petty, Kasey Chambers, Ani Difranco, Tracy Chapman and Norah Jones but she enjoys anyone who puts out passionate work. She is a singer-songwriter who has been performing in LA clubs for over six years. Sheâs placed in Merlefestâs Chris Austin songwriting contest and has won the ASCAP Plus award numerous times.
