Morgan Fawcett

One of the First People of Alaska, a 16 year old Tlingit/Haida native of Juneau, Alaska. He is the Grandson of Lillian Fawcett Marvin of Raven Nest House (Raven Frog) and Harvey B Marvin Eagle Box House (Eagle Wolf), also Maryann and Danny Flakes and Grandson of Mrs. Katherine White, of the Wassketon Shark Clan the first people of Juneau. Grandmother Leona Bean, Eagle Wolf of Wrangle, AK, Great Great Grandson of Aaron Bean Raven Devil Fish, first people of Kake the picture on his CD, Ancestral Memories. His Mother Valerie Fawcett full Tlingit and his father James Strang of ½ Tlingit. Leaving Morgan a rare ¾ Tlingit. A long ancestral line of Matriarchs of Alaskan Royalty.
Morganâs Tlingit name is Sheens given to him by his Grandfather Harvey Marvin this is a name from the Eagle Box House.

In 2006 Stopping at the Trees of Mystery Museum and gift Shop. This is a Park on Hwy 101 of Northern California, while on a road trip with family, Morgan was offered a Native wooden flute to play by a museum employee (who later became a dear friend) After hearing Morgan play for a few minutes the museum curator asked how long he had been playing the Native flute? This was actually his first exposure to the Native flute. Morganâs Great Grandfather Tommy Joe Redmon gifted Morgan this flute to Morgan on his return trip through we stopped and picked it up, this was for Morganâs 14th birthday. Morgan has been playing the flute ever since that day. He has been called a natural flute player by many, but Morgan refers to his music as Ancestral Memories. When asked from where his songs come, Morgan explains âEvery flute has a voice but with one element missing â Breathâ I add the breath to the voice of the flute and that breath comes from my heartâ.

In the past couple years Morgan has played his flutes from Alaska, down the west coast and as far east as Memphis, Tennessee. Many people have enjoyed the spiritual quality of Morganâs soulful sounds, but Morgan would say his music is personal. Just to watch Morgan play his flutes many say is a spiritual experience.

Because of the flute, Morgan has met many exceptional people, each having brought their own special qualities to influence this young man on his Journey.

Summer of 2007 saw the release of Morganâs first CD âancestral Memoriesâ. Morgan went back to his home town to put on a Concert with Arvel Bird for FASD awareness. In April of 2005 at the age of 14 years old Morgan started an awareness program for FASD. We are all looking forward to his next CD to be available in June 2008 â Tears of our Fathersâ

Morganâs Music has been said to bring Peace and healing to the heart and mind. For more about Morgan and his special cause write: one_heart@juno.com If you would like to hear more about Morgan or book him for your special occasion or School Assembly .
