Details:
Recorded in the second quarter of 2003, Atmosphere is Sometimes Never's second full length release. The maturation and cultivation of SNs style is more than apparent on this album. Not only has SN honed their song writing skills but they have also tightened up the sound of the recording. In addition to being a solid album, it takes the listening experience to a new level with segways between each song. Never stopping to take a breath, Atmosphere is a beautifully constructed album that is sure to tear it's way into the mainstream.

----------------Band Info---------------

Take Tool, Alice In Chains, and Live, and throw them into a blender. What's concocted is Sometimes Never, a mix of alternative rock that is familiar yet unmistakably different. Expanding on the emotionally charged music that enabled SN's aforementioned influences to connect with the very depths of the heart, Sometimes Never's sound is refreshing, especially in a market saturated by music that is missing real feeling. "SN is the soundtrack to everyday life that makes you realize you're not alone, someone else does feel the same way you do," says charismatic front man and guitar wizard, Nik Tarascio, 24. Backed up by brother, Greg Tarascio, 20, the driving beat behind the band, and bass player Mark Zuhlke, 27, this trio tugs at the fabric of your soul and refuses to let go.

Sure the moniker 'Sometimes Never' conjures a quizzical pause. "It is a paradox to think about" is what Nik says of the group's name; a paradox which describes the simple but complex nature of the NY-based band and it's music.

The brothers Tarascio, working together on various musical projects since 1996, finally established SN with Mark, with the release of their self-titled, self-produced debut album in December 2002. Moonlighting as a pilot for his family's aviation company, Nik fully committed to SN that year. Greg, working as the accountant for the family business, also decided to devote all of his energy to the band. "Over the six years we played together, we never found anyone who could mesh with us," says Nik of he and his younger brother, "so we played our first gig at an open mic night with no bass player. That night we got booked to play more gigs but really didn't have a band setup to play live." In a panic, the band tried to find someone to fill in. Nik turned to an old friend, Mark, who had played with him 9 years earlier. "The first time we played together as Sometimes Never, there was an energy we had never felt before as a group," says Greg. With the missing link finally in place, SN took off, receiving local radio play after playing only their second gig.

After taking first in 2003's Downtown Summer Battle of the Bands, beating out 58 other bands, SN began focusing on writing and recording the collection of songs it call's Calm Before The Storm. Featuring the intoxicating "Medicated", "Everything You Say", "Unheard", and "Fables", Calm... is filled with edgy guitar riffs, hypnotic bass lines, and flawless drum beats. Penned entirely by SN, it delivers the sound that will replay on radio and rate with the alt-rock greats. The intention is to leave true music lovers always choosing Sometimes Never.

With an undeniable, unyielding drive to make their presence demanded by the masses, it is certain that Sometimes Never will emerge from the sea of nameless bands as a powerful voice in music and as a group that truly touches people. Make way for the thunderous arrival of Sometimes Never. The storm is building.
