Bruce and Carl, the Borders Brothers, perform original country songs in a neo-traditional style. Bruce writes and does the singing, and Carl provides the guitar playing, which gives each song its unique sound.
Raised on the country classics of the 60's, 70's and 80's, the Borders Brothers were influenced by those artists. This quickly becomes evident on songs such as "One Thing Right," unmistakably, a Johnny Cash inspired tune. Other songs on the CD include styles of a number of identifiable artists.
From "Get A Job" - a rather pointed and cynical song, to the reflective "These Are My Memories," describing a father's attempt of trying to hold on to his children's youth, each song tells a story, some sad and some upbeat, some true and some fiction.
The Borders Brothers currently live in Central Oregon. When they aren't working on making music, both drive truck for a living.
