Lowdown30, shady and haunted :
Lowdown30 is a Korean rock band consists of the finest of their own field. Literally, the band's name sounds a bit sarcastic and sad simultaneously. Maybe it's because the word "lowdown" hit you with the image of sterile(and probably ridiculous) rock scene of korea. Who could possibly expect the next generation of rock music, who is more innovative and original at the same time, would appear from a peninsula in the Far East? No one can tell easily but, you will nod your heads silently if listen to this, . Then at least you can say so called "globalization of rock music" has been accomplished by them.
Byeongjoo Yoon(Guitars/Vocals), regarded as the best guitar player in Korea formed rock trio Lowdown30 in 2000 with Rockgun Kim(Bass) and Minwoo Lee(Drums). And according to expectation, their truthful and kick-ass gigs deeply based on 60's & 70's classic blues rock made hungry rock fans wild with enthusiasm.

Just another brick in the wall? :
At the first sight the title of the album seems to suggest a female Hebraic name but actually it stands for "Just Another Indie Rock Album." What does this mean?ãIt means is just another album in the time anyone who has simple equipments can make his/her own album. But, on the contrary, this can be a strong expression of eagerness that they want to be special to listeners nothing but with their own music. Or is this a quiet rejection of the compromised, commercialized rock scene? To be sure in some way excites nostalgia for what is called "the Age of Innocence" when people listen to music with the minimum information but with great passion and imagination. Before everything else, definitely is an ironical calling for Lowdown30 itself and a propaganda agitates another rebellion.

Lowdown30 is influenced by various artists from 60s up to now so it's hard to prescribe their genre exactly but basically their music seems to be rooted in classic blues rock music. you can feel every kinds of blues rock musicians melted in this album and they created undeniably unique style once again. "I Saw the Devil Last Night" has a haunted and torturous guitar riff and the guitar solo in it will make you sob with no reason. And the heavy and grungy sound embodied in the "I'm Going Down" dramatically overcomes the language barrier and concentrates your acoustic sense immediately. As soon as you listen to this album you will experience a real rock music still alive. is the Lowdown30's first studio album but consistent, fully mature and deeply reckoned. Let's just celebrate another birth of the great rock band!
