The Longfellow Project, equal parts hip-hop, poetry and progressive. Formed in 2002, the musical collaboration of artists Beyond Z and Dylan K has released two self-produced full length albums. The duo finds heavy influence in hip hop acts like A Tribe Called Quest and Beastie Boys and progressive rock groups like Goblin and The Mars Volta. Referencing everything in their lyrics from classic childrens tales, horror movies and video games,
The Longfellow Project paints an apocalyptic landscape with their current self titled album.

Beyond Z has released dozens of songs as a solo act,including his most recent work, The Black Hole, as well as an instrumental album under the alias Oz Moses. He fuses countless audio samples with synthesized and live instruments with surgical precision.

Dylan K first joined with Beyond Z when the two expressed interest to combine Hip-Hop, abstract soundscapes and storytelling into a musical experience. Their first collaboration led to live performances, and soon after the two began work on their second release.

"The Longfellow Project" has begun to lean more toward a Hip Hop styling, but their music has evolved into a unique electronic aesthetic. Their self titled album features 15 tracks with topics ranging from the dangers of unprotected sex to the decline of customer service in today's world.
