SANDRO CRIPPA nasce a Palermo dove si diploma in pianoforte al conservatorio con il massimo dei voti e la lode. Studia inoltre composizione e percussione.
Viene notato dal direttore artistico del Teatro Massimo, che lo assume come pianista di accompagnamento.
Nel 1980 si trasferisce a Loppiano, una frazione di Incisa sulle colline del Valdarno fiorentino, dove vive tuttora.
Dal 1981 al 1999 ha fatto parte del Gen Rosso - International Performing Arts Group come pianista e compositore, approfondendo vari stili come il pop, lâetnico e la musica liturgica contemporanea.
Ha tenuto workshop (laboratori) di coro e strumenti in 16 paesi europei e latino americani, lavorando con migliaia di giovani.
