Let me try to explain some things about this record.

What if I told you I just sort of gathered up bits and pieces I had been writing over the past while and followed my nose with each of them? That I wanted to create strongly individual songs but was always trying to see where they could meet?

That I made a conscious decision not to try and make the production sound cool and contemporary (whatever that is) and I made another decision to not try too hard to not make them sound cool and contemporary. That I wasnât going for a deliberately experimental sound but I did want to see what I could get away with?

That when it comes to words I donât see how anybody can examine their own petty wee life and loves without writing about the whole thing in a wider contextâ¦and then arguing against their own arrogance for daring to assume some understanding of what is really going on?

Does all that sound conflicted or like some sort of basis for sanity?
