FINALLY..!..after 5 long years...Spittin Jonah got back in the studio and got down to business! Guess they weren't just sittin' around playin' cards afterall. This disc shows the natural growth of a band that is maturing collectively and as individual players. With Sphere of Resistance they have given us a magnificent collection of original music that is far and above the first release.
SPHERE OF RESISTANCE just flat out CRANKS! The intro fools you in to a false sense of soft and then grabs you by the face and takes you for a 50 minute metal ride.
Feelings of older Judas Priest, UFO, Savatage, DIO, Maiden, Blue Murder, even Dream Theater (without the keyboards of course.)
Mustering a heavier sound than the previous release (Louder Than Hell) they added a few 'progressive' elements on this one and it balances the listener's journey through this 'old school' power metal onslaught. The vocals are full out 'balls' this time! The guitars are big and angry!(A lot more 'vertuoso-shred' guitar solos on this one!)
The bass is square in the pocket throughout and the drums are just huge!
Just a fine piece of work from the guys on this one!Absolutely brilliant!
