What is Spike Ivory?


The 50's brought us Do-Wop. The 60's brought us the Beatles and the British Invasion. The seventies began the eras of Progressive Rock and Punk Rock. The 80's brought us hair bands, ska bands and Ballad Rock. The 90's brought us a whole lot of different stuff. The new millenium seems to have brought us a blended mixture of, well, I'm not sure of what...



Spike Ivory's music is a return to the basic. No fancy riffs, no hair spray and no Spandex. I like to share my stories with you. My songs are a collage of the different roads I've travelled and the lessons that I have (hopefully) learned. My songs are a return to basic rock and roll. Besides, I don't look good in Spandex and I'm allergic to hair spray!


Take a listen to the songs on my CDs. I want to take you to the places in my life that served as the building blocks to make me the carpenter I am today. I'm sure some of the stories I tell are stories you've experienced yourselves.
