Susan Robertson's compositions are a complement of musical styles and messages. Susan has performed her children's music in several Boston suburbs, the Falmouth Public School System, and at The Children's Hospital in Boston. To make her music even more delightful on the CD, Susan is joined by Peter Lerangis on many of the songs.

This CD has been put together with the intention of combining a variety of learning experiences for children ages preschool through the second grade. Each song has been arranged in a specific musical style, lending interest to the CD as a whole, while providing the chance to teach those styles to children. Also available is a book which contains the sheet music with chord indications, suggestions for the teacher or parent, and delightful images for coloring.

I urge you to share these songs both with and without the CD. Always keeping time to the CD would not allow the children the chance to ask any of their wonderful questions. They need the time to learn, make mistakes, talk, and laugh.

Some songs stimulate the imagination; some focus on fine and large motor skills. Some of the songs, such as "I Have A Friend", "I Have A Little Teddy", and "Bacon on Vacation" have messages about friendship, security, and nutrition. Projects could be planned, or children could design a skit pertaining to any one of these topics.

Most of all, these songs are for having fun! Dance to them; laugh with them; color the illustrations. I am hoping that my music will make you smile.
