This CD is featuring 20 songs from the latest album of Vicumpriya Perera titled Paa Satahan. It contains 20 songs written by him. Tunes for all songs are composed by Bhadraji Mahinda Jayathilaka. Songs are vocalized by Bhadraji Mahinda Jayathilaka, Praneeth Mash, Indiwari Abeywardena, and Sumith Wanniarachchi. Music direction for all songs except "Mata Tharuk" is by Shantha Gunaratne. Mata Tharuwak is music directed by Lassana Jayasekera of Nimtec Studio - Gampaha. Recorded at Shan Studio by Shantha Gunaratne and distributed in Sri Lanka by Jayananda Record Bar of Malwatta Road.
Bhadraji Mahinda Jayatilaka is a renowned Sri Lankan composer living is the United States who has written more than 100 Sinhala and English songs. Bhadraji, winner of prestigious D. R. Wijewardhana Award (1994) for literature in Sri Lanka, has written over 30 novels in Sinhala and 02 novels in English. A singer, lyrics writer, and music composer in Sinhala and English, Bhadraji has composed the tunes to all the songs in this album. After migrating to the United States in 1973, he gradualted from Woodbary University with a B.S. in Communications and Public Relations, and M.A. in cinematography and video productions. In 1978, he helped in introducing Sri Lanka's first television station (ITN) and has worked as a producer and consultant for Rupavahini Corporation and ITN. He is an instructor in Theatre and Art Media at the Mt. San Jacinto College.
Vicumpriya Perera is a mathematician originally from Sri Lanka who is living in USA as well. In his spare time, he writes lyrics for sinhala songs and some are available in other albums. This is his first attempt to create an album featuring only songs written by him.
