My name is Austin Jones. Growing up as a kid in Phoenix, Arizona wasnât such an easy task. To begin life, taking my 1st air of breath , I was cheated a father & born to a young single mother. Born in 1987, I was everything but the usual kid you would catch around town, more or less the trouble makerâ¦I was a unique kid and school definitely wasnât my thing. All I could do all day was focus on everything but school, like music & girls and all the other things I wanted in life. Though some classes like math was a struggle, I somehow could always come up with crazy things to write that the teachers would flip out about, and tell me wow kid, âyou should be an writer some day â. By the age of 13, life was everything but perfect, moving in & out of schools & going back n forth to different houses was just a regular thing to me, and fights & problems at home happened on an everyday basis. The only way I could escape reality & get away was through music. I could cloud my mind so well with everything I was listening to, I didnât even think of what was going on in my life nor did I care. I actually started to think differently on everything, because the songs, sounded like my own life and I could relate. I knew then music could not only help touch an individual in different emotional mindsets, but also be used as very powerful outlet to give to others.

Eventually, I took all the bad events that took place in my life and wrote them down on a pad of paper or a sticky note laying around & put them in poetic rhyming order around my room. By the age of 15, I had so many different thoughts on the notes, I would match the words to a beat I heard on the radio or a CD & make my own 16 bar verses to create my own songs, considering I didnât have my own beats. I wanted to make sure my struggles and thoughts got out of my head and put out in the world for someone to hear. At 17 years old, I formed a group and made my first demo CD. Eventually I got so good with my own writing skills I wanted to prove to myself I could take off & excel by myself, so I went solo. I can describe myself for having a very unique, versatile, multi-syllable style, whether Iâm rapping or singing in harmonic melody that proves I can write to any beat & constantly switch up my flow. I love to change it up & always sound different; that way I keep the audience busy from the first track to the last. Over the last couple of years, I have written numerous amounts of songs for mix tapes as a solo artist as well as for other in different genres.

Now I am 21, & I am ready to take on anything that is thrown my way, and I know I have the ambition & words to do it. I feel I truly posses the power to be that next new artist to make a difference & positive change to society. The game is getting older now & there definitely needs to be a new someone, skilled enough & mentally focused to lead the next generation. Through my lyrics & future songs, I want not only to reach out to the troubled youth like me, but also bring sight to the blind of todayâs matters that are hidden behind closed doors. As I grow older, I learn more and more that God gives us one life to do what we can, so why not fulfill and accomplish everything possible in the moment it is given to us. I hope that after reading this, you will give me the opportunity to prove myself & fulfill my dream.
