OBEAH
(In 3 short movements)

I. The Cleansing (the initiate has sex with the goat)

II. The Ritual (the initiate slits the throat of the goat)

III. The God incarnate (the initiate drinks the blood of the goat)

OBEAH (In 3 short movements) is my re-construction of a ritual I observed in Haiti during the year 2000. The male initiates are summoned within the circle whereas they have sexual intercourse with the goat. Once completed the shaman then slits the throat of the animal and the initiates one by one drink its blood as the mood turns into a frenzy as then the GOD incarnate appears as the flux transcends the 'time/space' of the circle.

MARTHA MY DEAR

This tune has always been one of my favorite Beatles songs. In my later life I made the dismal mistake of falling in love with a girl named Martha. So understand the personal affinity of this cover. Yet, Paul McCartney wrote this ditty for his sheepdog of the same name. So, in my re-derangement within an arrangement of âMartha my Dearâ is about TWO (count emâ) ⦠dogs.

THE EXHUMATION AND INCIDENTAL RESURRECTION OF MORTON FELDMAN

During Mr. Feldmanâs funeral, his body was spontaneously reconstituted and levitated into the air above his gravesite. Although temporary, it was a quite invigorating apparition for present. It was the last hoorah of a âminimalistâ in the sun.

MINIMAL WAVE

Synthesized algorithms as a rhythmic instrument embedded with the ghost of Karlheinz Stockhausen as he haunts the alleys of downtown Manhattan at twilight.

HOMICIDAL

My tribute to the films of William Castle featuring the FUSION symphony orchestra. I depict the convoluted triangular psychology of a murderer on his killing spree.
Also, this piece was conducted by âyours trulyâ JP VIDEO. However, I had to wipe the blood off the baton at the end of this piece. Is there no God?

MUSIC FOR TEENAGE SEX

Featuring the Voyager spacecraft on its Jupiter flyby. Sprinkled with traces of low budget Arabic hip-hop drum machine patterns and manic saxophone cadenzas which are reinforced with psychopathic expressions of neurotic girlfriends past. No need to worry though. Peace and enlightenment are just around the corner. Donât worry Kyoko (Mummyâs only looking for her hand in the snow).

GHOST to GHOST

My arrangement of the chase scene through downtown Istanbul from the movie âMidnight Expressâ. NO hashish was used in the arranging and performance of this piece. And no animals were harmed.
